Advertising on STUDIO ONE NETWORKS

STUDIO ONE NETWORKS reaches a general news audience: readers who come for world and breaking news and stay across business, entertainment, science, sports, technology, lifestyle, travel, auto and gaming coverage. Advertising is how the site stays free to read, and we run it the way we run our journalism: clearly, honestly and with the reader’s trust treated as the asset it is. This page explains what we offer, what we refuse, and how to start.

Why this audience

General news readers are habitual readers; they return because news keeps happening. Our audience spans the demographic breadth that general news always attracts, with concentrations around our specialist sections: a technology story pulls tech buyers, auto coverage pulls car intenders, travel coverage pulls people planning trips. For advertisers this means both reach across a broad audience and context alongside relevant coverage, without the brand-safety lottery of user-generated platforms; your ad appears next to edited, fact-checked journalism, produced under the standards published openly on this site.

What we offer

  • Display advertising. Standard display placements across the site, available programmatically through the major exchanges or as direct placements for advertisers who want guaranteed positions, sections or dates.
  • Section alignment. Direct campaigns can target specific sections, putting an automotive brand alongside auto coverage or a game launch alongside gaming news, subject to the separation rules below.
  • Sponsored content. Considered case by case, and only under our labeling rules: sponsored material is produced separately from the newsroom, is clearly and persistently labeled as sponsored, and is never presented in a way that could be mistaken for our reporting.

The rules, stated up front

It saves everyone time to be explicit about what a campaign on this site does not buy. Advertising buys space, never coverage: no story will be written, angled, softened or removed because of an advertising relationship, and our editorial team does not know or care who is advertising when they report. These rules are not negotiable at any budget, and they are published in our Editorial Standards and Ownership & Funding pages, so every reader knows them too. Advertisers benefit from this arrangement more than they lose by it: ads on a site readers trust are worth more than ads on one they do not.

What we decline

We refuse advertising for scams, deceptive financial schemes, miracle health products and anything illegal in the markets we serve, as well as ads designed to imitate editorial content or system warnings. We also decline the adjacent industry of trust-laundering: paid links inside editorial copy, undisclosed placements and pay-for-play reviews. If a proposal depends on readers not realizing something is an ad, it does not run here.

Formats and standards

Creative must meet common-sense standards: honest claims, working landing pages, no auto-playing audio, no malicious code and no dark patterns. We reserve the right to reject or pull any creative at any time, including mid-campaign, if it breaches these standards or draws credible reader complaints. Measurement and reporting for direct campaigns are agreed before launch.

We also care about the reader’s experience of ads in aggregate, not just each unit individually. Page speed and readability are guarded deliberately: we cap ad density rather than filling every available pixel, because a page that fights its reader serves neither the journalism nor the advertiser paying to appear beside it. An ad seen on a fast, readable page by someone who chose to be there outperforms three ads crowding a page the reader abandons.

Starting the conversation

Email support@studioonenetworks.com with Advertising in the subject line and include:

  • Who you are and what you are promoting, with a link.
  • The format you have in mind: programmatic, direct display, section alignment or labeled sponsored content.
  • Target timing and indicative budget, so we can respond with realistic options.

Advertising inquiries are answered by the team that runs the site, usually within a few business days. We are a small operation, which means less bureaucracy, direct answers and campaigns that get set up by the same people you emailed.
