Paige DeSorbo isn’t staying silent anymore. The Summer House star took to her podcast to shut down swirling rumors about her breakup with Southern Charm‘s Craig Conover, insisting that she never cheated and clarifying when their relationship really ended.
Setting the Record Straight
After weeks of whispers and internet speculation, DeSorbo used Monday’s episode of Giggly Squad to put an end to what she called “baseless” allegations.
“I never, in the three years that I dated my ex-boyfriend, I never physically cheated on him, emotionally cheated on him,” she told listeners. “Can you mentally cheat on someone? I don’t know, but I didn’t.”
The 32-year-old reality star also detailed the exact timeline of their split, revealing that the breakup actually happened a full month before she announced it publicly in December.
Thanksgiving Weekend Was the End
According to DeSorbo, she and Conover officially broke up over Thanksgiving weekend, a fact that, until now, wasn’t widely known.
“Since no one’s sticking up for me on the other side … I will say that Craig and I broke up Thanksgiving weekend. OK? That’s at the end of November,” she stated.
But despite their relationship being over, Conover continued acting as if they were together while promoting Southern Charm.
- DeSorbo agreed to let him process things in his own way.
- Conover went ahead with press obligations without addressing their breakup.
- She remained silent out of respect for his wishes.
However, after Christmas, she noticed that Conover was publicly presenting himself as single. That was when she decided it was time to make the breakup official to the public.
A One-Sided Announcement
Before making her breakup announcement on Giggly Squad, DeSorbo said she reached out to Conover, giving him a heads-up about her plan to speak on it. But her text went unanswered.
“My text went unanswered, fine,” she said. “The [breakup] episode came out … at the end of December.”
Shortly after, the cheating rumors started to fly.
DeSorbo insists she was blindsided by the accusations and that there was no overlap between her past relationship and any new connection.
No New Relationship—And No Cheating
Despite recent speculation linking her to someone new, DeSorbo firmly stated that she’s single.
“Let me say this here and now, I did not move on with some new guy. I am single. I don’t have a new boyfriend,” she told her audience.
She also denied ever being unfaithful, emphasizing that a full month had passed between her breakup and the public announcement.
“There are certain things that I think should remain private, and he asked me not to say anything,” she explained.
Craig’s Silence on the Rumors
DeSorbo shared that she asked Conover to help shut down the cheating rumors, but he declined.
“So any of the other baseless rumors … that have my name in them, they are not true,” she reiterated.
While she didn’t elaborate on why Conover refused to step in, the lack of public defense from her ex has only fueled the speculation.
A Clean Break, No Villains
In the end, DeSorbo said the breakup wasn’t as dramatic as some people think.
“No one was blindsided. No one was cheated on,” she stated. “I don’t want to be seen as the victim, and I don’t want to be seen as the villain.”
Her message was clear: The relationship had simply run its course.
As of now, Conover has yet to publicly comment on DeSorbo’s latest statements.
