The Patriots coaching staff is well aware of Polk’s recent struggles, but they’re not giving up on their rookie. Head coach Jerod Mayo spoke candidly about Polk’s need for improvement but was careful to maintain optimism about the young player’s future. The quarterback also praised Polk’s work ethic, noting that he’s always asking to watch film together and staying after practice to refine his game. Maye’s optimism was clear: “He’s a good player. We need him out there. It is on me to kind of get him going.”
